Imago Mundi, Venezia 1/9–1/11 2015

Lars Pryds: “BCN–CPH”, 2014. Painting/collage on paper, 12x10 cm.

Lars Pryds is one of 160 Danish artists in the Imago Mundi exhibition at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, Italy, 1 September – 1 November 2015. The opening will be on the night of 31 August. Collections from 35 different countries will be shown – each presenting between 100 – 200 artists.

Imago Mundi is the collection of works commissioned and collected by Luciano Benetton on his travels around the world, involving, on a voluntary and non-profit basis, established and emerging artists from many different countries. Each has created a work with the only restriction to its size: 10×12 cm, contributing to the creation of a remarkable artistic geography. The work above, “BCN–CPH”, 2014. Painting/collage on paper, is Lars Pryds’ contribution to the collection.

Each country’s collection is documented in a book in the format 215 x 215 mm which is available on www.imagomundiart.com website. The Danish collection can be found here.
