TPG Katalog

TPGKatalog - a font from Tolstrup Pryds Graphics

TPG Katalog- this is a font I have been working on for a long time. The letterforms of the TPG Katalog were built around the 12 squares of a rectangle measuring 15 by 20 mm. The first few glyphs were originally cut in cardboard as a stencil for spray painting a logo on the cover of an exhibition catalogue, and any new letterforms I include will have to go through the cut, spray paint, scan, and digitize process before being added to the font. This rather slow process preserves some of the characteristics of the hand drawn original stencil type.

A beta version of the nearly finished font was used in the logotype and the graphic identity of the Scandinavian Design Seminar, "Copenhagen Crash", held in Copenhagen in May 2008. Here, the font made its debut in real life - in print, in onscreen animations, on the web and maybe even on t-shirts. Read about the seminar at www.snds.org/crash2008

TPG TolleOne

TPGTolleOne - a font from Tolstrup Pryds Graphics

TPG TolleOne - a display font family of five styles, named after my wife, whose nickname is Tolle. The "One" indicates that she is number one, of course, but also that this is the first set of fonts I have published.

Before making it into a digital font, I have used the TolleOne way of handwriting for many many years - in invitations, brochures, posters, catalogues, signs, love letters and much more. The first version that made it into print - I think - were the lettering for the official poster and catalogue for my graduation exhibition from the School of Arts and Crafts in Kolding in 1987. So when the three weights of TolleOne were finally digitized in 2001, they had come a long way!

TPG FaceFont

TPGFaceFont - a font from Tolstrup Pryds Graphics

TPG FaceFont - a picture font where the lower case letters are baby faces, and the upper case letters grown ups'. Well, at least, that was the idea to begin with, but it can be hard to tell if a face is young or old. Don't you agree?
The family of the mostly happy faces (but a few are sad, sleepy, proud, angry, and much more) comes in a "left" and a "right" version, named so from the direction they look. Each font contains about 100 glyphs.

TPG PrydsPensel

PrydsPensel
- a typeface drawn with a brush. Originally thrown down on paper in five minutes and then made into a font at www.fontifier.com - more or less for fun. Then cleaned up a lot, modified, and additional characters drawn. What seemed to be a quicky ended up in a lot of work...
